Will the rides/attractions be open at 6 am at the Magic Kingdom on May 22, 2015 when Disney kicks off its Frozen Summer Fun??

    Hello, Anna!

My family attended the Rock Your Disney Side 24-Hour Party that was held May of last year. We did not make it the entire 24-Hours with the kids, but we are so glad we were in attendance. I will give you some tricks and helpful hints from what I learned attending last year's events.

Magic Kingdom Park is open for 24 straight hours for the Coolest Summer Ever party May 22nd at 6 a.m. to May 23rd at 6 a.m. Many, but not all, rides and attractions will be operating for the entire 24 hours. Last year there was the ability for us to make FastPass+ reservations for some of these.

Dress up in costume! We did not and we wished that we had. Other Guests had some fantastic costumes to show their Disney Side. My favorite was a gentleman dressed as Stinky Pete - he looked amazing! There were also many dads who dressed as princes along side their little princesses, a scattering of dwarfs, fairies, Toy Story characters, and many more.

The park will be busy. Knowing this ahead of time helps to manage your expectations of the day. Honestly, just being in the Park during the event is so much fun. Try to take it easy, pace yourself, and don't try to 'do it all'.

There was limited edition merchandise that could be purchased at the event. There were awesome shirts with Maleficent on them last year. There were also some special yummy treats just for that day. There was also unique parades and shows that are not normally available. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to see if they give any information out about what to expect this year.

There were also a few unique places to have your photo taken that are not available on a normal Park day. Last year there was a big clock that we positioned our hands on to show the time.

    Have a magical time, Anna!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
