I have a one year old. Are car seats allowed on the magical express? We are staying at old key west and I’m trying to decide if we actually need the car seat for our trip once we get to our resort.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your trip is literally right around the corner, and I am so excited for you! Walt Disney World Resort is magical all of the time, but seeing it through the eyes of the littles sprinkles it with pixie dust!

I’ve brought my babes to Walt Disney World Resort since they were babies, and I understand the need for all.the.gear! If you need a car seat to travel to your home airport, please, by all means, use it during the trip! You can bring the car seat on Disney’s Magical Express, or if you’d prefer, check it with the rest of your luggage and it will meet you at Disney’s Old Key West Resort

If the car seat is part of a stroller system, then you will probably need it during your stay. If you are planning on bringing a separate stroller or renting one during your stay, you really won’t need the car seat. Disney’s complimentary transportation accommodates strollers, and if you choose to use the fantastic Minnie Van service, each car has car seats available!

When you are in the Parks, make use of the Baby Care Centers. They are a fantastic place to change a diaper, have a snack, or take a calm rest. There is also a small shop in each that has a curated selection of baby essentials - just in case you forget something!

Jana, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I wish you a magical vacation.
