One member of party may require a mobility scooter hire whilst at the parks? What's the cost and how do we get one if needed? Also is there a cheaper option like getting one for full weeks stay instead of daily rental.

    Hi Kerry-Anne ~

How wonderful for you to plan ahead for your Guest that will need assistance. ECV Rentals are available in all four theme parks and Downtown Disney. These are available on a first come first serve basis and reservations are not accepted. ECVs must remain in the parks in which they were rented. If you visit other parks on the same day, you can show your receipt at the next park to obtain another ECV depending on availability.

Rental fees for ECVs at the theme parks is $50 per day (+ $20 refundable deposit). Rental fees for ECVs at Downtown Disney is $50 per day (+ $100 refundable deposit). Keep in mind that rental fees are always subject to change without notice. There is no length of stay rental available for ECVs, only for wheelchairs.

If the member of your family will need use of an ECV outside of the parks, you will need to rent an ECV from a local private company that offers ECV rentals. You can find a list of some companies at the bottom of the ECV rental link above. This may be a cheaper option than renting each day in the parks. These companies will deliver and pick up ECVs to Disney resorts.

Here is some information regarding attractions for Guests with Mobility Disabilities including those that allow Guests to remain in their wheelchairs or ECVs, those that require Guests in ECVs to transfer to wheelchairs to board, and those that require Guests to be mobile to enjoy.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
