Can I just make one FP+ selection in advance instead of 3, then book more after I use the one? So that after using the one that was booked I could book the same one again or one in a different park?

    Hi Leslie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad to hear that you are using Fast Pass+. It is absolutely one of my favorite planning tools!

Although you could choose to only make one initial Fast Pass+, I would not recommend it. Fast Pass+ selections for the most popular rides often get booked prior to the days we plan to visit. So we always make three initial Fast Pass+ selections for each day we have valid theme park admission. Then, once we get to the parks, we ride those Fast Pass+ rides and book our fourth, "rolling" Fast Pass+.

At Magic Kingdom, for example, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is one of our all time favorite rides. We have never been able to book it as an additional Fast Pass+ while in the park. Our experience has been the same for Avatar Flight of Passage. Fast Pass+ selections for that attraction have been long gone shortly after our Fast Pass+ window opens 60 days prior to our vacation.

Leslie, on our last visit, we did our Fast Pass+ rides for Magic Kingdom in the morning, then we headed back to the resort hotel for the afternoon. We returned in the early evening to catch the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party. I staked out a great viewing spot for the Happily Ever After show and sent the girls to ride Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin using our fourth Fast Pass+, which I had booked earlier in the day before we left the park. My advice, therefore, is to make your three initial Fast Pass+ selections as soon as your Fast Pass+ booking window opens!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
