Must one check in to the resort prior to going to the parks. Could the airport bus drop us off at MK. We arrive in the a.m. and I know check-in is not until later. We have lunch reservation at Crystal Palace, but I don't know if it is too rushed.

    Hi Joseph!

You do not have to check into your Walt Disney World Resort first before going to the parks as long as your MagicBands are active in your My Disney Experience and you have a valid ticket linked to them (in order to enter a Walt Disney World theme park you would need a valid ticket linked to your Magic Band) or you could use an RF enabled Magic Your Way Ticket to enter a park. The Magic Express Service does not drop Guests off at theme parks. Guests are only dropped off at Walt Disney World Resorts by Magical Express so you will have to go to your Resort first. You can check in early and if your room is not ready yet, then you can give them your cell phone number and receive a call or text when your room is ready for you. When your room is ready you can move in to it any time after that. Sometimes rooms are ready early, well before the normal 3:00 pm check in time. I have checked in early many times and a majority of times my room was ready before the typical 3:00 pm check in time! Also, you can leave your luggage with Bell Services so you do not have to carry it around with you in a park if you decide not to stay around the Resort to wait for your room to be ready.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly amazing in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
