    Scott from TN Asked

I will once again be taking students to Disney World in May/June on our 8th annual trip to Disney. I am considering purchasing annual passes for my family and I. Can I put the cost of the YES program ticket towards the purchase of the annual passes?

    Hi Scott,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for sending us that excellent question!

I couldn't be more excited for your family and all your students! The curriculum-based educational programs offered through Disney Youth Programs are absolutely fabulous!

Upgrading to Annual Passes is a great way to save money, particularly if you are planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort more than once during the same year. However, in my experience specially discounted tickets, such as those offered through the Disney Youth Educational Series program, ordinarily cannot be upgraded to Annual Passes. A Cast Member I spoke with today said that, if your school is traveling on a package with tickets that may only be used within a specified time frame, that's usually an indication that those are likely the type of tickets that cannot be upgraded. Having said that, I invite you to contact the Disney Youth Programs directly by calling (877) WD-YOUTH (877-939-6884), in order to confirm this information. Alternatively, once you arrive on-property, you can visit any Walt Disney World Guest Relations location for an official answer to your question.

If you have any other questions, please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We'll be more than happy to sprinkle some pixie-dust on all your vacation plans!

Wishing your entire group an unforgettable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
