Do we get an onboard credit if we use the Disney credit card to book and pay for a cruise? I remember that was the case a few years ago, but unsure if they are still offering that incentive

Welcome aboard, Rosa! Sailing with Disney Cruise Line is so much fun, and those guests who have a Disney Visa Card by Chase get some extra perks! My family and I benefit so much from having this card!

In previous years, guests were able to receive an onboard credit with the card, however this has changed. Starting in January of this year, the new perks include a 10% discount on a Disney Cruise Line photo package, 10% discount on merchandise purchases of $50 or more onboard (souvenirs - yes, please!), 10% discount on the Castaway Cay Getaway Package, and 20% off some of the spa treatments on port days. In order to receive any of these perks, you'll need to use your Disney Visa as your form of payment for your stateroom account.

Keep in mind, though, that any rewards points you earn by using your Disney Visa card on everyday purchases can be used as spending money onboard the ship. Just bring your rewards card to Guest Services to be added to your stateroom account as a credit! Remember that you'll need to request a rewards card from Disney Visa and then transfer your points to it in order to spend them.

If you're hoping to get an onboard credit, you can do that for any future Disney cruises by booking your next sailing while onboard this one with or without a Disney Visa card. When you book onboard, you'll get a nice discount on the next cruise, a generous onboard credit for the next cruise, and a reduced deposit. It's definitely the way to go if you know you'll be sailing again soon with Captain Mickey and his crew!

I hope that helps as you plan your cruise vacation, Rosa!
