My older parents take quite a bit of medicine. I usually sort their pills in a day and night pill caddy for convenience. Do I have to bring the original bottles? It would be a suite case full since they are 90 day supplies. We are not flying just cruising.

    Ahoy Joyce –

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are so happy to hear about your dear parents voyaging with you on a Disney Cruise. My crew has discovered that traveling with multi-generational families is a lot of fun because we get to see the cruise experience from so many points of view. I am also touched that you take such great care of your parents by sorting their medicine for them, and you will be pleased to know that you can continue to do that for them on your cruise. You do not need to travel with multiple pill bottles, but I do suggest that you make sure that you have a few extra days of medication just in case of emergencies. Also, you should plan to pack their medications in their carry on day bag so that you have it with you at the cruise terminal if there are any luggage delays. As a family practice physician I also suggest to my patients that they bring a printed sheet with a list of their medicines, allergies to medicines, and basic medical history with them whenever they travel out of the state. Joyce, I hope that you and your parents have a pleasant cruise and please feel free to come and visit us again soon!
