How old must a child be to enter Disneyland/California Adventure without an adult?

Greetings, Jill, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s time to get excited… your arrival date is almost here! You’re going to have the time of your life at the Happiest Place on Earth!

According to the Disneyland Resort Rules, a child must be at least 14 years old to enter Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park without an adult. Guests under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a Guest age 14 or older to enter either theme park. In addition, children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by a Guest 14 years or older to board an attraction. However, all Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM in the Downtown Disney District.

Now that we got the Rules out of the way, lets talk fun! Here’s the Entertainment Schedule for Saturday, May 11, 2019, so you can start mapping out your Disney day. I highly recommend Getting Your Ears On and checking out Mickey’s Soundsational Parade and Mickey’s Mix Magic with Fireworks! Also, keep in mind that this is a Grad Nite, so Disney California Adventure Park will close at 9:00 PM for ticketed high-school students only.

Speaking of high-school students and teens, I highly recommend checking out Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration in Downtown Disney District. It’s a perfect spot for Guests of all ages to get the perfect selfie or group shot amidst vibrant displays celebrating the one-and-only Mickey Mouse!

Wishing you and your family a magical adventure at the Disneyland Resort this weekend!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
