    James Asked

Okay I have a 3 year old and a 4 year old. They are typical size for their age. I however am built like an NFL offensive lineman. 6'5" 290lbs. How much trouble am I going to have riding with my kids? Are there any rides I can really forget about?

Hi James!  Many of the attractions are theater style and you will not have a problem with those.  Others have large enough vehicles that you could easily ride with one of your children.  From my own past experience I might not suggest you try Dumbo, Flying Carpets, or the Astro Orbiter!!!  I got into the little rocket once and felt like I was stuck trying to get out.....they aren't overly roomy and my old legs couldn't seem to untangle to get out!

There is an excellent resource you might consider buying before heading down to Disney for your vacation.  It is the PassPorter's Open Mouse for Walt Disney World by Deb Wills and Debra Koma.  You can find this at local book stores or they can order a copy if they don't have it in stock.  This book will take you through each attraction and each ride vehicle explaining where persons of size might have difficulty. It offers suggestions as well.  It would be very beneficial to become familiar with the attractions before leaving on the vacation so you aren't surprised.  Please remember there are also cast members at each attraction to help you if you have any further concerns.  I am sure you will have a great time!
