Okay MOMS we are planning a trip to Disneyworld for the first time in very late December 2012 with a 2 year old. I'm kind of overwhelmed so i need help. What should we do & where should we stay??? note: my daughter is a MM FREAK!!!

Welcome to the Moms Panel Brandi! No worries - we're hEAR to help!

Planning a 1st trip to Disney World can be very overwhelming but you're starting in plenty of time so you'll be fine. The Magic Kingdom is always a favorite park at that age and the one we always spent the most time in when my boys were that age (still do). With that in mind, I'd suggest one of the resorts along the monorail line. That will give you easy access by monorail or boat to the Magic Kingdom. When mine were that little, we always took them back to the hotel for naps and to give them a break from the parks. If you request a Magic Kingdom view, you should be able to see the fireworks from your room and the Electrical Water Pageant (the EWP can be seen from a Bay Lake view in the Contemporary). That will be nice for you on those nights your little one is asleep and you want to sneak out of the balcony to see them.

My personal favorite is the Grand Floridian. It is beautiful! They offer fine dining and character dining options. If your daughter loves Princesses, she'll enjoy Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare which is located in the main lobby of the Grand Floridian. She's also enjoy the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Alice, the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins and Winnie the Pooh are among the characters that typically make appearances during breakfast.

You can also grab a bite at Gasparilla Grill and watch the fireworks from outside. They don't have the music piped in but there is lots of room for your daughter to play and burn off some energy.

Since your daughter is a Mickey fan, being on the monorail line would also allow you easy access to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. I'm out of room but happy to continue making suggestions if you'd like to visit again. Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
