Okay being that we are newbees but I am traveling with two boys one Tween and the other a 17yr. what familie things are there? What can the youngest do and not feel like he is too old for it? Thanks again for any help.

    Hi Sherry!

Thank you for sending your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

Since you are a newbie, I highly recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors, as it is full of information and tips, but is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good idea of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

I don't think you will have any problems at Walt Disney World.  I have been there many times with guests of all ages.  Most tweens and teenagers love all of the parks, though some teenagers think they are "too cool" for the Fantasyland section of the Magic Kingdom.  However, Walt Disney World is unlike a regional amusement park that you might have experience with.  I recommend trying to do as many of the attractions as possible.  I recommend the following order to experience the parks that might help both children:
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios
    • Epcot
    • Magic Kingdom

I would save the Magic Kingdom for last.  It is the crown jewel of the Walt Disney World Resort and some guests like to visit it first.  But I think saving it for last will be best for your teenager.  That will give him or her time to get into the Disney spirit before going into the park that has attractions for all ages, including attractions designed for younger children.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
