ok my sister, my niece, my brother-in-las and i was attending the MNSSHP on the 13th and we are planing to dress up as Alice, the queen of hearts the mad hatter and the chesire cat. my question is is there a guideline about face painting?

Face painting is fine at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. You will often find guests at MNSSHP with fully painted faces to coordinate with or enhance their costumes. As long as your face paint is not unduly frightening or offensive, you will be OK in that respect.

However, I encourage you to be cautious with your costumes. Many adults do get dressed in very elaborate costumes for MNSSHP. However, the general rule of thumb for adult costumes at WDW is that you can't wear anything that would get you mistaken for a regular character in the park. So, for example, a woman could wear a blue ball gown costume. But if she then put up her blonde hair in a bun and decorated it with a tiara, that would be a no-no. Other guests might confuse her with the "real" Cinderella.

Since you are planning to dress as Disney characters that do appear in the parks, just make sure that you don't look too much like the "real" thing.

Enjoy your time at the party.
