Is it ok to say go to one of the Disney theme parks during the day...head to our hotel for a break and then re-enter in the evening??

    Hey Catherine!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love your question and when traveling with little ones this is the best way to experience a Walt Disney World Theme Park because it is no fun for anyone if kids are cranky and tired. Here are some tips to help you get through the day.

•Plan to arrive at the theme park 30 minutes before the published opening time (many call it rope drop). If your desired park has early morning Extra Magic Hours then show up before those begin. We typically eat lunch around 11:30 AM and end our morning segment around 1:30 PM. We head back to our resort for some pool time or take a nap and then return around 5:00 PM for the evening activities.

•Plan your three FastPass+ reservations for attractions you want to ride or see in the morning well in advance. If you are staying at a Disney Resort you may make FastPass+ reservations 60 days in advance of your arrival. Any where else you may make them 30 days in advance. Once you use your three initial FastPass+ reservations you may receive more.

•Make your Advanced Dining Reservations as early as 180 days before your arrival date. Several dining locations book up far in advance due to the wonderful meals and experience. Some of these highly desired locations are Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Cinderella’s Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom Park.

•Make sure to see the fireworks and parade in the evening. They are spectacular!

•If you park in a theme park then you will only pay for parking once.

I hope this helps you plan your pixie-dusted adventure.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
