Ok so I can't decide between Boma and Jiko. We have eaten at Boma twice before and love it but I would like to try Jiko. I am hesitant because I have three children and the youngest is one and slightly loud! What do you guys think? Thanks

Hi Amy! This question is a tough one to answer. One of the reasons I love Disney World is that even the nicest restaurants welcome children. My husband and I enjoy dining at fine restaurants, and after my son was born, I wondered if we'd ever be able to eat out again. We soon became hooked on taking all of our vacations at Disney because we could stay at fancy hotels and eat at gourmet restaurants with our young children in tow. It's Disney World after all; people should expect to see children everywhere, and no one should look askance at you for bringing your young children to a nice restaurant.

At the same time, however, I'm very sensitive to making sure my children don't negatively impact the dining experiences of other guests, and I sense by your question that you feel the same way. If you enjoy the food at Boma, I know that you would love Jiko. However, in my experience, Jiko is generally a very quiet restaurant, and the service can be quite leisurely, two characteristics that can make dining with a loud toddler a nightmare for parents. If you don't feel that your children could sit quietly for a nice meal or if you think the stress of trying to keep them quiet and happy for a meal would ruin your dining experience, consider hiring an in-room babysitter. You can contact Kid's Nite Out at 407-828-0920.  If you want to try Jiko with your kids, I'd book a very early seating and tell the server when you're seated that you'll need to dine quickly because of the little ones. If your toddler becomes embarrassingly loud during the meal, you could always walk him out on the savanna for a few minutes of animal-spotting while you wait for the food to arrive.

Hope this helps! Have a magical time!
