Is it ok to bring double strollers on the Disney buses?

    Hi Kristin!

When traveling with younger children and infants the list of items you might need can get long. My biggest suggestion to parents traveling to the Disney parks is to rethink about everything they have out to put into their park bag and then cut it down by half. Making your time as stress free and easy as possible will also make your day the most magical ever.

Double strollers are indeed allowed on the Disney buses, boats, and monorails. Please note that the strollers must be folded completely down for all buses and some of the smaller boats. This is not done to irritate parents when they are juggling with bags and children and strollers but it is because of a Florida state law. I have seen so many bus drivers getting yelled at and this is out of their control and they are simply doing their job.

Make sure your stroller fits within the size limits that Disney allows in the parks. Please check the list of Restricted Personal Items to see the stroller dimensions.

When waiting for a bus it is best to prepare and have the stroller folded and ready to board. All bags must be removed from underneath and you will want to make sure someone has the children in hand. Double strollers can be quite cumbersome so each parent can have their job to get safely on and off with the children. During busy times when the buses are crowded it can become interesting when you must stand, hold onto the stroller, hold onto the kids, and get to your destination. That is why only take what you really need for the day. There are BAby Care Centers in each park if you have forgotten something.

Taking a Walt Disney World vacation with children is the best. Seeing their eyes light up with each new experience is beyond memorable. Have a wonderful time!
