Off to the WORLD in August of 2016 with my parents and celebrating their 35 anniversary and my mother's 60th birthday. I'm in charge of all of the planning and stuck on the fast passes. What rides are not recommended for older individuals?

    Hi, Elizabeth!

What a fun family celebration in Walt Disney World! Make sure to pick-up your free celebration buttons at the front desk of your resort or at any of the theme parks.

I am wondering if the "older" family members are your 60 year old parents? If so, you may want to check with them as they might enjoy all the same attractions as you do! I was just in Walt Disney World with my parents, and my dad who is 80 absolutely loved the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! You may be surprised what your parents will enjoy.

Even attractions that you think might be too "young" for them such as it's a small world or Peter Pan's Flight are attractions that the whole family can truly enjoy together.

I would chat with your entire family, and ask what they want to avoid. Maybe roller coasters aren't their thing (avoid Space Mountain or Expedition Everest) or maybe they do not like spinning rides (avoid the Mad Tea Party) or motion simulators are terrifying (avoid Star Tours). By seeing what they like or do not like, you can get a better idea of what to select. Remember, too, that everyone in your party does not have to have the same FastPass+ selections, so perhaps you can enjoy Rock 'n' Roller Coaster while your parents head to Toy Story Mania, it is up to each of you!

Wishing you a magical family vacation in Walt Disney World!
