Odd ? Visited in AUG last time thinking of OCT this time. While I can appreciate the Halloween celebrating I also really like good old classic Disney. In OCT is the park totally overtaken with Halloween i.e. the park music is it still the same/rides etc?

Hi, Janette! October is my family's absolute favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World.  Guest attendance is less than some other times of the year, and the weather is great.  Epcot celebrates its International Food and Wine Festival.  You can try food from around the world, attend demonstrations, and/or hear a great concert. The parks have a lot to celebrate in the fall, but the theming doesn't take over the regular Disney experience, except during my favorite event, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party. The Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a not-to-be-missed hard ticket (requires a separate admission) event!  The Magic Kingdom is decked out in its Halloween finest - including ghosts on Main Street, U.S.A. Characters sport their costumes, too.  Guests of all ages attend in costume, but it isn't required.  Because the number of Guests is limited, you can ride almost every attraction during the party time frame, especially if you follow my family's lead and skip the Trick-or-Treat locations.  HalloWishes is the holiday-themed fireworks presentation that you can only see on party nights.  The Boo-to-You parade is one of my family's favorites. Watch for the Haunted Mansion Cast Members; they are my favorite part. There are usually advance purchase discount for some nights, so take advantage of that if you can.  When it's not party time, the regular rides and attractions are going full speed. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
