Hi Moms, in October we're staying at Akl, Kidani Village. I would like to get a room that has shade in the morning so We can sit on the balcony and drink our coffee. How do I make this request?

    Hi Michael!

Kidani Village is my family's absolutely favorite resort at Walt Disney World! As a coffee fan myself, sitting out on the balcony enjoying my cup of caffeinated heaven while watching the animals roam by sounds just about perfect.

The best way to make any room request is to add it to your reservation. If you booked with a travel agent I would ask them to add this request. If you booked directly either online or on the phone with Disney, I would call the Walt Disney World Travel Company at 1-407-WDISNEY and ask them to note this. To my knowledge, this isn't something commonly requested. Since the majority of the savanna view rooms at Disney's Kidani Village face east, this type of request might be more difficult to fill. There are a few rooms on the Pembe Savanna that face west, or if you have a standard view room there are quite a few rooms that face west.

Please do be aware that while Cast Members do try their very best to find you a room that meets your request, these requests can never be guaranteed. If you find your room a bit too sunny, I might recommended taking your morning coffee for a walk near the lobby area. There is a covered porch area off the lobby with rocking chairs, as well as an indoor library area with seating that are perfect for a quiet morning.  Wherever your room location is, I hope you have a wonderful trip to Disney's Kidani Village, and a magical Walt Disney World vacation.

Sending you pixie dust for shady mornings!
