In Nov. we will be taking our 9mo DD on her first trip to the world! Are there any places in the parks or our resort (POFQ) where she can safely crawl around? She has a lot of energy and I'm worried she will get antsy sititng in her stroller. Thanks!

    Hi Elizabeth!

We know the restless baby syndrome all too well here!  There are some quiet places where you can let your little one get down and roam at the parks, but I always worried about little fingers accidently getting trampled by unsuspecting guests, so I kept down time to our resort.  We always travel with a picnic blanket, so we'd pull it out and spread it in the grassy area just outside our room.  I'd also bring some board books and small toys for our little ones to play with while having 'blanket time.'  We did this a couple of times every day so that they could get some gross motor time in while on vacation, as they did spend the bulk of their time in the stroller.

You can find a great area outside The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, as well as The Boneyard at Disney's Animal Kingdom, but again, these areas can sometimes be very busy with others running about--I would definitely check it out before putting your princess down for some play time.

    Have a magical vacation!
