I just noticed “standby entrance” for rides I couldn’t get a fast pass for. Can you explain how that works, please? I also saw a tip...once we’ve ridden all of our fast pass rides for the day, we can schedule more..is this true?

    Hi Robin,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you stopped by with this great question.

The Standby Entrance for attractions at Walt Disney World is for those that do not have FastPass+ times already reserved for those rides. As you approach the attraction, you'll see the estimated wait time listed for that attraction (you may also see it in the Wait Times listing on My Disney Experience). You of course are more than welcome to join the crowd in line should you decide that you are ok with the listed wait time. Naturally, the wait times for the attractions that you have already selected for FastPass+ will have much shorter wait times; this is of course the advantage of using the FastPass+ system.

Once you've used your three FastPass+ allotments for the day, you may choose additional selections, one at a time, until the park closes or you've had enough fun for the day.  Your additional FastPass+ selections do not have to be in the same theme park as your first three selections for the day.  I like to plan my FastPass+ selections for as early in the day as possible so I can keep packing in additional selections as the day goes on.  If your favorite attraction is not currently listed, keep checking the app or the website.  Additional selections often free up as the day goes on, allowing you to keep having fun during your visit.

Robin, I hope this answers all of your questions.  Please come back to see us if you have any additional questions about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
