I noticed on the picture of SpaceMountain it shows four seats in a row with one in front of the other, would my daughter be able to ride in the seat with me (sharing one spot) or would she have to sit separately from me?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Andrea ~

Space Mountain is one of my all-time favorite rides at the Magic Kingdom. I have fond memories of riding it with my Mom when it first opened. Back then the ride vehicles were different and two people could sit together in the same seat. I remember "letting" my Mom hold onto me tightly the very first time so she would not be so nervous about riding. Ahh - great memories!

The ride vehicles for Space Mountain at the Walt Disney World Resort are different today. There are three seats in each car. Each seat holds only person. There are two ride vehicles hooked together so a total of six Guests can ride at a time. You can sit in the seat behind your daughter so that you can reach her for some reassurance if she needs it.

When a Cast Member puts you and your daughter in a spot in the queue to board, make sure you are either 1 and 2 or 5 and 6. That way you will be within reach of each other. The first time I rode with my youngest son, they put us in 3 and 4 which are split into different cars. He was in the back seat of the first car and I was in the front seat of the second car. I couldn't reach him and he wasn't very happy about it.

Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
