I have noticed that they are offering the free dining plan at same time as 20% of resorts. Can you use both discounts at the same time? Or does Disney only allow one discount at a time? Which is better the dining plan or 20% of resorts? Thanks

    Hi, Tamara!

Reservations can only be booked using one discount.  I have priced it out many times, and a room discount vs. Free Dining really come out the same.  For my family, we opt for the room discount since we have annual passes.  However, if you need to include tickets, you might want to choose Free Dining.  It really is fun to have all your meals paid for ahead of time and of course dessert is included in your meals, something you might not otherwise splurge on.  There is just something very magical about paying with your dining credits, leaving a tip, and you are ready to go!

If you plan to do some pricey dining like character buffets, then I would really lean toward the Free Dining.  If you are not big eaters and just grab a quick bite to eat here and there, then the room discount might be a better option for you.

When pricing it out, if this helps, I figure that my family of 4 usually spends about $200 a day on food, with a mixture of table service and counter service.

Work out some prices and once you do that, let me know if you need more help deciding or ideas for dining or resorts.  Good luck!
