I notice that Sports Resort offers 'babysitting' services. What are the specifics of service? I seem to be having a hard time leaving my two little ones with total strangers!

    Hi Nicole,

I, too, was very hesitant about leaving my children when they were very young.  In fact, it's only quite recently that I've taken advantage of the babysitting options at Walt Disney World.  I was very pleased with both.  There are two options for child care at Walt Disney World Resorts.  If your children are between 3 and 12, and are potty trained, you can drop them off at one of several Children's Activity Centers, which are located in several of the deluxe resorts on property.  Here, trained cast members watch your kids, while they enjoy a variety of games, toys and crafts, as well as have dinner.  My boys love The Never Land Club, located at the Polynesian Resort.  In fact, when I have returned to pick them up, they generally sulk and beg to stay longer.

If your kids are under three, or if you prefer, you can have a sitter come to your resort room, and watch your children there.  Disney has a relationship with the company Kids' Nite Out, and we have used them several times as well.  A very qualified sitter came to our room, played with my boys, did a small craft, read them stories, and then put them to bed.  You can contact Kids' Nite Out by calling 1-800-696-8105 or online at kidsniteout.com.

Whichever you chose, have a wonderful adult night out!
