Hi, I notice under 3's can eat from parents plates for free - my DD will be 3yr and 3 months when we go in december and has an incredibly small appetite - would it be ok for her to do this as well?

It depends on which type of restaurant you go to.  For the table service restaurants where you order off of a menu, you are free to not order a meal for your little light eater.  Counter service establishments would work the same way.  But for buffet restaurants, dinner shows, character meals, or places that serve family-style meals your daughter would be charged for the price of a child's meal.  Some examples of these restaurants would be Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, 'Ohana at the Polynesian, or the Hoop Dee Doo at Fort Wilderness.  That's not an all-inclusive listing obviously, but it should give you an idea.  Hope that helps!
