As we're not locals, what tickets should we be getting? Magic bands, fast passes, annual passes??? We're confused...It was suggested we get 1x adult annual pass to secure discounts on accom/food, but then what other passes do we get?

    Hi Christie,

How great to know that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort in just a few weeks. I can't imagine the excitement of the trip so let me help you a little bit with some last minute tips.

In order to get Theme Park Tickets it's best to know how many days you would like to enjoy the parks. One rule of thumb is the more days you add, the cheaper the cost per day it becomes. Annual Passes make sense economically if you will be visiting the Resort more than once per year, or want to visit the Theme Parks more than 10 days. But even for a long vacation, you should consider some options like Park Hopper Option, which lets you visit more than one Theme Park in the same day without using another entitlement, or Water Park Fun & More Option, which gives you admission to some great experiences like two Water Parks, two Miniature Golf Courses, the ESPN World Wide Sports Complex, and even a round of golf. This is a great way to stretch a vacation.

Once you purchase your Theme Park Tickets, you want to link them to your My Disney Experience account, and this will allow you to book FastPass+ reservations. You can make up to three per person per day, starting 30 days before your arrival if you are not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. Otherwise, you can make them 60 days in advance. Finally, a MagicBand is a great way to carry your Theme Park Tickets. If you stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, you will receive complimentary ones, but you may purchase tons of colors and designs once you get to the Resort. See you soon!
