It is not my first time going to disney world but I was wondering if it is a good age to take a 3 yr old to WDW for the first time? I hear taking them that young they wont really remember anything.. If it is not a good age what age do you prefer?

A three year old is at a great age to go to WDW!

My son was 2 when he made his first journey to the Mouse's House. Does he remember it? No. But the memories we have are absolutely priceless. Our children grow so quickly! For me, having those moments to remember is part of what makes us a family. We look at the pictures and video and reminisce. We tell our son how he used to call the monorail the "Disney choo choo". Now, Mr. 8, will sometimes point at the monorail, get my attention and say those precious words. He likes being part of that family history at WDW too!

Was it more difficult juggling a stroller, potty training, bed rails and naps? Absolutely. But it was all part of the adventure. Now that Mr. 8 is running towards Space Mountain instead of Dumbo, I am really glad that I have those earlier memories. I think that if you wait until your kids are "old enough" or "will remember it" or "will go on all the rides" that you'll miss the special milestones along the way.

Why do we celebrate our son's birthday? He won't remember them all. We do it to create memories and special family time together. Walt created Walt Disney World for those same reasons. You'll see!
