We were not able to get Fast pass for the new Pandora ride. If we get to the park at opening hours with also a magic hour built in - what is the likeliness of us getting on the ride first thing in the morning and approximately how long of a wait??

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Matthew! Thanks for stopping by to bring us such a great question.

Matthew, you are already on the right path to a magical adventure! Arriving early is always a great approach when wanting to make the most out of those early hours when crowds are lower and you can get so much done.

If you arrive a good hour before park opening, on a morning with Extra Magic Hours, I’d say you are likely to be among the first to enjoy Pandora- the World of Avatar and the two new attractions with short wait times. I suggest traveling light as the line for guests without bags will move much faster and get you closer to the front of the line once you arrive. Once you enter Pandora, start with Avatar Flight of Passage quickly followed by Na’vi River Journey. You should be able to ride them both with short waits if you arrive early!

It’s hard to predict what the wait time will be with this tried and true method of an early arrival, but some friends have reported that they’ve been able to ride the first ride of the day when arriving before rope drop.

One last tip! Keep checking back for FastPass+ availability for your attraction wish list. Guests change plans often and you never know when you might find some pixie-dust in your My Disney Experience FastPass+ search.

Wishing you luck as you venture into a land that is truly beyond belief. Have a wild time and be sure to come back and see us again real soon!

    SIVAKO!
