Can non-riders still enjoy long queues with the rest of the family? I have a one-year-old and a husband with a bad back. Will our group (6 total) have to split up for every non-baby-friendly attraction?

Hi there, Constance! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and ask your Walt Disney World Resort question!

Planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your little ones is such a fun time! There are so many enchanting attractions for the entire family to enjoy, Disney Characters to meet, and delicious meals that you and your children can experience together. That being said, there are also many attractions that may not be the most fun for younger Guests! Fortunately, Walt Disney World Resort has a few options so that your entire family can experience as many attractions as possible!

It is totally possible for non-riding Guests to wait in line with their party! I’ve done this exact thing with my own family on numerous occasions actually. As someone that loves the more thrilling attractions, I always make a point to ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror whenever we visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park. Even though he is terrified of heights, my husband has always been able to keep me company in the attraction queue before I enter the attraction vehicle. So, this is definitively an option for your family!

If multiple Guests in your party would like to experience an attraction, you canals utilize the Rider Switch Service at select attractions! This service is available for Guests that cannot or do not wish to ride an attraction. With Rider Switch, one adult Guest waits with the non-riding Guest or Guests while the other adult Guests experiences the attraction. Once done, the adult Guests switch out so that both adult Guests have the opportunity to experience an attraction!

Have fun continuing to plan for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Be sure to let us know if we can answer another question for you!
