I see no Florida Resident resort or package discounts for 1/26/19 - 2/2/19 (yet)? Can I reserve rooms at current rates and change later for a discounted price if possible? Is it better to hold off purchasing room pkg with tickets now and just reserve room?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Bobbi! I’m so happy to see that you’re planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort early next year! I think it’s a great time to visit because of the cooler weather!

When it comes to Special Offers, you will find that promotions change every couple of months. I would go ahead and make a reservation at the Walt Disney World Resort hotel of your choice, then keep an eye out for Special Offers that coincide with the dates of your stay. You can always call (407) 939-5277 to speak with a Resort Reservation Cast Member when an enticing offer becomes available and add that offer to your booking.

I would say Special Offers are announced about three months ahead of time. So, Bobbi, I would start checking for them in mid-November if your desired dates are in January/February. I like to watch rates, even after I’ve booked my family’s stay and I have to say, I had some great luck this past May. I was able to get a little more than $100 off the price of my stay. That’s more in my budget to spend on sweet treats at Sleepy Hollow at the Magic Kingdom Park. Their waffles are my favorite!

Remember that you can start making your dining reservations 180 days before your planned visit! After you’ve booked your stay, you can also start making your FastPass+ selections 60 days before your visit.

Bobbi, I hope you’ll stop by again as you continue your planning! Helping you with all the details of your magical vacation is our specialty!
