Hello! We are going on an 8-night HOWTS cruise this October. We fly into Orlando International the night before, and we are staying at the Hyatt regency right in the airport. What is the process for collecting and then getting our luggage to the ship?

    Ahoy, Necole!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What a SPOOK-tacular vacation you have to look forward to in October! I've cruised on two Halloween on the High Seas sailings and loved how Disney Cruise Line sprinkled some extra pixie dust on these holiday-themed voyages. The BOO-tiful decor around this ship, especially in the Grand Lobby Atrium, along with seeing my favorite Disney Characters dressed up for the festivities are two of my favorite things about these special sailings. And the good news for you is that you have EIGHT glorious nights to experience all the magic at sea with Disney

Necole, you have asked a great question about your arrival to the Orlando International Airport and stay at the Hyatt Regency the night before your cruise departure. First, you'll want to collect your luggage from Baggage Claim just as any other normal flight. If you have booked the Disney Cruise Line ground transfers, you'll want to inform the front desk at the Hyatt Regency upon check-in. They will provide you with information for the following morning, including the procedure for luggage pick-up. This will include placing the luggage tags you received from Disney Cruise Line before leaving home on all your checked bags. By doing this, Disney Cruise Line can make sure your luggage arrives outside your stateroom door on the afternoon you arrive at the port. Luggage is usually picked up around 8;00 a.m. so you'll want to make sure your bags are tagged, and you've kept anything you may need for the day with you (medication, passports, bathing suits, sunscreen). Once you are ready to depart for Port Canaveral, you'll grab your day bag and head to Side B, Level 1- Ground Transportation. Just follow the signs for Disney's Magical Express, and you'll see a spot for Disney Cruise Line Guests. Motorcoach departures from the airport typically begin around 9:30 or 10:00 a.m. It's about an hour ride to Disney Cruise Line's terminal.

Thank you for cruising by with your question. Please let us know if we can assist you again with your magical plans.
