Hi! We will be going on a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas in May. Can you tell me what night is pirate night? Also if we do not want to eat the dinner on Pirate night can we go to other restaurants on the ship to eat? If so which ones? Thanks!

    Ahoy, Laura!
I can't wait for your crew to have a swashbuckling good time on your Bahamian voyage in May! One thing I know for sure is your pirate crew will not go hungry on your sailing! There is always plenty of good eats to be found onboard any Disney Cruise! I see from your other question that you will not be dining at one of the adult-only venues-Palo or Remy, so I will provide you with a few alternatives to the main dining rooms for Pirate Night. Scheduling is always subject to change, but Pirate Night is often on Night Three on the Four-Night cruises. When my family sailed this itinerary, Cabanas was open for table service from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. for a casual dining experience. This option gives you the flexibility to go anytime between those two hours and still enjoy some of the delicious food items offered in the main dining rooms that evening. If you want something a bit quicker, Tow Mater's Grill is typically opened and serving up juicy hamburgers, grilled chicken, hot dogs, sausage and chicken tenders! Enjoying dinner from the comfort of your stateroom is always nice especially after a day off the ship in Castaway Cay. Room Service is available 24 hours a day, so just order whenever you feel hungry and don't forget the Mickey Bars for dessert (not on the menu, but just ask!). On Pirate Night, there is typically a Pirate Buffet served at Cabanas after the fireworks around 10:45 p.m. This is certainly enough to serve as a meal, so you may want to eat a light dinner to save room for this Caribbean-themed feast.
I think I've covered the various options for dinner, Laura. But you will want to look at your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter, on Day Three to double check your choices. You can also use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see menus and the dining venues hours of operation.
    I hope this helps!
    Have a magical day!
