We are going on the 5 night Bahamian cruise. What would be the best night to book an adult evening at Palo or Remy? Which do you recommend? Will the kids still eat at the restaurant we are scheduled for in the dining rotation?

    Hi, Amie!

For a 5-night Bahamian cruise, I would book a dinner at Palo or Remy for the fourth night -- when you're at sea.  I like the idea of being able to experience the other three restaurants at dinner first and then enjoy time spent in an adult-only environment.  Plus, you don't have to worry about interrupting any fun you're having while in port to make it back in order to dress for dinner.

Your children will have several options for dinner.  Since our kids are old enough now (2 teens, a tween and a little one), we actually let them go to dinner on their own the night my husband and I had a Palo reservation on a recent cruise.  (We got a good report from our servers the next night!)  However, you can also feed the kids before your dinner reservation -- either at your assigned restaurant, at the buffet, at quick service or from room service.  Just do what's easiest for you and what sounds good to them.  If you're in a time crunch, the youth activities clubs can feed your kiddos a light supper.  Of course, big kids are expected to grab a bite on their own.

I hope that helps you plan and let me know if you have more questions. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
