We are going on the 5 night Bahamas holiday cruise over new years. 2 adults 2 kids 11 & 13. I know everyone says cruise casual but we're newbies so exactly what does that mean? What should we be wearing? No jeans, sundresses with a sweater, Polos?

    Hi Dana,

Most evenings on 5-night cruises are going to be "cruise casual".  That only means no shorts, jeans, t-shirts or flip flops in the main dining restaurants.  Polos and sundresses are very appropriate.  You'll have one pirate night where many Guests enjoy dressing in their favorite pirate garb.  You'll also have one "dress up" night that you may want to take advantage of.  It's a great opportunity to get your family's formal picture taken by a professional photographer and a seriously inexpensive price.

The dress code at Palo on all cruises:

Men: dress pants and shirt or jacket; women: dress or pantsuit ;no jeans, shorts, capri pants, flip-flops or tennis shoes.

The dress code at Remy on all cruises:

A tuxedo or jacket (sports or suit jacket) is required with dress pants for men. Ties are optional. A cocktail dress, pant suit or skirt/blouse is required for women. No jeans, shorts, capri pants, flip-flops or tennis shoes.

I've also included Disney Cruise Line's Packing Tips as additional information.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if I can answer anything else for you.  I'm very excited for you and your family.  Have a magical vacation Dana!
