My niece & nephew will be taking their 1st WDW trip this fall. Unfortunately the Voyage of the Little Mermaid will only be open 1 day during the trip. Is there any place to meet Ariel? Also, my nephew will be just under 3. Can he go to the Pirates Leag

    Hi BreAnna!

There is nothing more magical than your first trip to Walt Disney World!!!  I am keeping my fingers crossed that your niece will be able to take in at least one show of the Voyage of the LIttle Mermaid while you are visiting Hollywood Studios.  You will also be able to see Ariel in the Magic Kingdom's Celebrate a Dream Come True parade.  I am also thrilled to let you know that Ariel will be visiting with her fans on legs, on human legs!  She and Prince Eric are appearing in the covered area to your right as you enter Adventureland from Main Street.  One of my personal favorite places to see Ariel is when she appears larger than life in Mickey's PhilharMagic in the Magic Kingdom.  Of course, she also sometimes visits with diners at Princess Storybook Dining in Epcot's Norway.  Whew!

Your little scallywag sadly cannot participate in the Pirate's League, due to his age.  However, he can certainly visit the Barber Shop on Main Street and get a some great hair gel and Mickey pixie dust!  Since it sounds like he is a pirate at heart, I would visit the gift shop, located at the exit of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, and pick up a great pirate hat, sword, rifle -even an entire costume!  He can then check out Captain Jack himself in the Pirate Tutorial, which is held every day in Adventureland - just check your Time's Guide.  My youngest son was just picked from the crowd yesterday to participate and I have never seen a bigger smile in my life!!!

I hope that your niece and nephew have an amazing vacation!

    Much pixie dust,
