So nice to meet all of you! Well, I'm the Grand Mom, and need some help!! So, just looking for feedback - taking the 5 grand children - 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and 6 adults April of next year and need tips and best Moderate place to stay - resorts or villlas?

    Hi Carik!

It's nice to make your acquaintance too.  What a fabulous grandmother you must be, taking your family to Walt Disney World!  We simply must find an amazing resort for your family to enjoy.

With eleven people in your travel party, my first recommendation would be a grand villa at one of the Disney Vacation Club properties.  While these accommodations are typically more expensive than three rooms in a Disney resort in the moderate category, you should definitely consider this option as there are frequently special offers available that make these an affordable choice.  Click here to check out the Walt Disney World Special Offers page.  New offers are added on a regular basis.  Contacting a savvy travel agent may also be wise as he or she could help you keep an eye out for specials.  Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and Disney's Old Key West Resort often offer the most affordable villas in this category.  As a family, you can't beat these accommodations because there are three bathrooms, three bedrooms, a full kitchen, private laundry facilities, and so much more.  It is the perfect place for a family vacation.

Another option, of course, is to book three rooms in one of Disney's moderate resorts.  Disney's Port Orleans Resorts (Riverside and French Quarter), Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort are all wonderfully themed resorts. They don't offer full kitchens or private laundry facilities, but you can't go wrong with any one of these.  Of course, if you'd rather stay in the Magic Kingdom area of resorts, you could reserve two cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

    Happy planning!
