Next year we are coming to Disneyworld to celebrate my parents 35th wedding anniversary (April) and my daughters 2nd birthday. What can you recommend for both occasions? We have seen that most experiences start at 3yrs old... Help! We are staying off site

    Hi Martin,

What a great vacation celebrating two big events! For both events, you want to note that you are celebrating them on your resort reservations as well as your Advance Dining Reservations. This might provide you with some extra pixie dust during your stay. You also might want to grab pins from your hotel or resorts which note your celebration. Reach out to Disney Floral and Gifts for special delivery to the room or to the Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253 for a special cake.

Let's start with your parents' celebration. Do you want it to be a surprise? If so, think about what they might like to do to celebrate. Fancy restaurant with fireworks than California Grill would be my recommendation. Would they want a dinner show like Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue to celebrate the big event? Or something smaller like a restaurant at a country at World Showcase? Would they like a tour, spa treatment or a show like La Nouba? Once you figure this out, we can tailor it to their day.

As for your daughter, I recommend a character meal for her. Does she like the princesses? Try Akershus or 1900 Park Fare for dinner. How about Winnie the Pooh and friends at Crystal Palace? This was a favorite of my children as toddlers. Is she a fan of Disney Junior? Then Hollywood & Vine make for a great setting for breakfast or lunch.

I think two is a perfect age to celebrate just being in the parks with family. Guests often miss the simple magical moments that the Walt Disney World has to offer. Stay a little longer in Fantasyland and talk to Gaston. Look at the dolphin's in the Living Seas more than two minutes. Eat a treat in every country around World Showcase. Have her pick a pearl in Japan and repeat it every future visit. It is these simple things that build memories.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
