On our next visit we are planning to go some other resorts while we are there. We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside, what is the best way to get to some of the other resorts? We will be driving there from Michigan, so we will have a car.

Hi, Judy! My family and I often drive in from Tennessee.  Whenever we have our own vehicle that is what we use to get to the theme parks, water parks, and the other Resorts.  Disney does an amazing job of moving all of the Guests around in a timely manner, but I like being in control. You don't have to wait for transport from your Resort, and at the end of a long day, the wait for a tram to the parking lots is often considerably less than the wait for Disney transportation.  Parking is free since you are staying on-site, so definitely take your own vehicle! The only exception to this rule is a temporary one.  Downtown Disney is currently undergoing a lot of construction, and parking is scarce.  For the time being, I would take Disney transportation there.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
