For our next trip we are considering not getting the dining plan. We will have a 10yr old & a 4yr old with us. I know at Disney 10yr old is considered adult. Will my 10yr old need to purchase off the adult menu or can she choose from children's?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Angela! We’re so happy you stopped by to bring us your question.

If there is anything that gets me excited about an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is Disney food! With so many delicious, exotic, and fun options for the entire family, planning your meals is as fun as planning which attractions you want to enjoy while there!

Angela, when you visit the most magical place on earth, making sure the entire family has an unforgettable time is a priority for Disney and its Cast Members. So, when it comes to dining, it’s no exception. Your 10-year-old will definitely be able to order from the kids menu if those selections seem more appetizing.

Make sure you mark your calendar with all the important planning dates as you dream up your upcoming vacation to the place where the magic is endless. You can start booking your Advanced Dining Reservations to your favorite restaurants 180-days in advance. For your FastPass+, your advance booking window will open at 60-days in advance if you’re staying inside the magic, 30-days if you’re staying off-property.

Thanks again for stopping by! For any additional questions, tips, or planning advice, please don’t hesitate to bring them our way.

    See ya real soon,
