With all the new technology at Disney. Do u still loose your DP if u change hotels on property?

    Hi Julie!

Unfortunately Disney treats staying in two Resorts in one vacation as two separate Disney vacations, meaning that you would have to have two Disney Dining Plans if you were to switch Walt Disney World Resorts during your vacation. This can complicate things a bit especially if you want to get the Disney Dining Plan and tickets. I have not heard that Disney will be changing this policy even with the new technology in place or coming soon. I have stayed at two Resorts in one vacation before with a Disney Dining Plan for each reservation and trust me it was way more complicated than staying at one Resort per Walt Disney World vacation! For example on of the things that I discovered is that your Dining Credits from the first Resort expire at midnight on the day that you check out so you have to make sure that you use them all up by then. Also you do not get your Dining Credits from the second Resort until you check in. So as you can see, you really need to do some planning if you choose to stay at two Walt Disney World Resorts during your next vacation!

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
