I see that the new procedures have Main Street open to guests before the park actually opens. Do you still need a ticket to enter Main Street or can you go to that area of the park without an actual ticket for that day?

    Hi Julie,

Thank you for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are correct that park opening procedures have changed a bit at Magic Kingdom Park. The park allows Guests to enter around an hour before the official opening time so they can enjoy Main Street, U.S.A. I use this time to pick up one of my favorite caffeinated beverages from Main Street Bakery!

You are entering the park, just a little bit early, so you will need a valid ticket for entry. There will be ropes and Cast Members standing by in the hub to open the rest of the park at the official opening time.

Julie, thank you again for stopping by with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
