When will the new magic band options be available and how do you change our original order when they are available?

Hi there, Ashley! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for stopping by and asking your Walt Disney World Resort question!

Since their release, MagicBands have certainly provided an amazing enhancement for all Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort! This wristband acts as an all-in-one vacation access device that connects Guests' My Disney Experience itinerary with their in-person experience. MagicBands may be used to enter into all parks, open your Disney Resort hotel room door, purchase food and merchandise, link photos taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers, and receive access to your FastPass+ reservations. Guests can definitively pack much lighter when using a MagicBand on their Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Currently, Guests can customize their MagicBands with their names and favorite colors when planning their stay at Walt Disney World Resort. It was recently announced that Guests will soon be able to customize their MagicBand selections even more! In the near future, Guests will have the option of upgrading their MagicBands from the original, solid color choices to one of over 30 designs that feature Disney characters and concepts! One of the best parts is that Guests will receive these MagicBands at a reduced price when compared to the regular retail cost.

This new feature has not yet been released at this time but it will be in the near future! If you have not made your MagicBand selection, you will be able to go into your My Disney Experience account and change your selection once the new feature launches. Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any future updates on the awesome new upgrade option!

Have a great time planning for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
