In the new fastpass+ reserved areas for Wishes do you have to sit on the ground? I will be traveling with my 75 year old father, and while not handicapped he cannot sit down on the ground. Would he be allowed to stand in the reserved section anywhere?

Hi there, Jodi! Thanks for stopping by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The new FastPass+ viewing area for the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular is actually a pair of grassy sections between Main Street, U.S.A and the Cinderella Castle hub area. Both sides are essentially wide open spaces and while many Guests opt to sit on the ground, it isn't required. In fact, when I've watched Wishes from this area, I've found that most people will stand once the show begins. Additionally, there's an iron railing surrounding these areas that may be useful for your father to lean on while you're there.

I hope this helps your family enjoy Wishes as it lights up the night sky at Walt Disney World, Jodi, and please do visit us again if you have any more questions.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
