New DVC members & getting ann. passes- is there an ann. pass or DVC discount for castle dining, bibb bobb, MVMCP, or Epcot candelight pkgs? Also wondering if the dining plan would save us anything on the dining experiences. Thanks!

    Hello, Kathleen!

Welcome to the Disney Vacation Club family! You're about to find so many exciting options for vacations for you and your family using your DVC Membership! Woo hoo!

Getting your Annual Passes using your DVC Member discount is a great way to save money, too. Once you have your APs, I suggest that you purchase the Tables in Wonderland Card, which saves Cardholders and up to 9 Guests, 20% on Table-Service dining (including alcohol) at participating resort restaurants as well as several Quick-Service locations, too. Your AP will enable you to purchase the TIWC at a discount, so have your AP with you, as well as a photo ID, in order to complete your discounted purchase.

Other perks available to DVC Members include discounts on select nights of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and so much more. You can either call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 or login to dvcmember.com for a full listing of perks enjoyed by DVC Members.

For the Dining Plan, assess how your family tends to order to determine if this will save you money. For my family, it's a HUGE savings! For example, last week, we dined at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (so that my 6-year-old nieces could meet the princesses) which would have cost each adult about $50, excluding gratuity. For a delicious Quick-Service early dinner, we chose Wolfgang Puck Express, where I selected the salmon ($18) the creme brulee ($6) and a freshly-brewed iced tea ($2.85.) Thus, I would have spent almost $77 at that point, in one day, and I hadn't even used my snack credit yet. Add in the value of the resort-refillable mug which comes with your Dining Plan and you'll see that the current cost of $51.54 per night, per adult, is a really great deal.

Send more questions as you think of them! I'd love to help you maximize the magic of your DVC Membership!
