NEW BLT Owners! If I needed borrow points to at my home resort (BLT) for 6 nights in November 2013 at my 11 month window and at 7 month window I change my reservation to Animal Kingdom (which is less points) will I be able to bank the points I didn't use?

    HI Tammy,

Congratulations on becoming Disney Vacation Club Members at Bay Lake Towers!  I know you will love being a member as much as I do.  Bay Lake Towers is a fantastic home resort being right on the Monorail and next door to the Magic Kingdom.  Make sure when you stay there that you take advantage of going to the Top of the World Lounge that is exclusive to DVC members and their guests.   If you make a reservation 11 months out at your home resort and then change to another resort at the seven month window, you will be able to bank the extra points if their is a difference as long as the original points were not banked from another year.  Since you are a new member and do not have banked points yet, you can certainly do what you are talking about.  I would encourage you to call Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 to make the initial reservation just to make sure as the banking and borrowing points can be confusing at times.  You can always borrow from your next years points.  Banking is a final transaction so if you will be going on a trip later in the same use year, it may be best not to bank your points just yet.  I know that you will have such a wonderful and magical trip as DVC members.  Welcome Home!
