do we need to wait for our wrist bands to be sent to us before we use my disney experience to link tickets, dining, fast passes etc.? We will be in WDW May 25, 2016 staying at the Yacht Club. We are 2 adults and 3 kids, 14, 10, and 8

    Hi Diane,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!

Because Canadians can’t get their MagicBands prior to checking in to their Walt Disney World Resort Hotel (international shipping restrictions - sniff!), I can tell you with 100% certainty that you don’t need to have your MagicBands in order to plan your family’s perfect Walt Disney World Resort vacation using My Disney Experience. In fact, you can already start making your dining reservations now for your May arrival, as these reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance. In fact, some of the most popular restaurants may only have very limited availability left, so I would strongly encourage you to the planning process as soon as possible!

I’m not sure whether you booked a Magic Your Way Vacation Package as part of your stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. If you have, then your Theme Park Tickets may already be linked to your My Disney Experience account. If your reservation doesn’t include these tickets, then I would encourage you to buy them before your FastPass+ selection window opens up, 60 days prior to your visit. You need to have a valid Theme Park Ticket associated with each member of your party in order to be able to make FastPass+ selections for them.

If you have any other questions about your upcoming vacation, or, for example, if you would like some more tips and tricks about using My Disney Experience, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
