Do you need to purchase your admission ticket prior to making advanced dining reservations? I Already have a resort room booked.

    Hi Alison,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  I am excited to see you are beginning to plan your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort, your family will surely make memories that will last a lifetime!

Since you have a Resort Reservation booked, you will be able to make all of your Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days prior to arrival.  Even without Theme Park Tickets, guests are able to make Advanced Dining Reservations at the 180 day mark. The only difference is that without a Resort Reservation you will have to make your Advanced Dining Reservations one day at a time as the 180 day mark hits, but one of the perks of making a Resort Reservation is the ability to make all of your Advanced Dining Reservation once the 180 day window opens.

Even though you can make your Advanced Dining Reservations without Theme Park Tickets, I would recommend purchasing your Theme Park Tickets at least 60 days before your scheduled visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are able to make FastPass+ Selections 60 days in advance.  This will allow your party to book a guaranteed time to experience your top three must do attractions with little to no wait each day.  FastPass+ Selections must have a valid Theme Park Ticket at the time of booking to secure.

I hope you have a fabulous visit at Walt Disney World Resort, Alison.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
