Do I need to pay off my trip before assigning fast passes for rides?

Hi, Tony! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for bringing us another great question. There are so many different important days to keep track of when planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Let's cover a couple of big ones and discuss how these are important to your plans.

If you have purchased a Magic Your Way Package, which consists of a stay at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, theme park tickets, and any other optional additions, your balance will be due 45 days before the beginning of your vacation. If you have booked a room-only reservation, then your balance is not due until your time of check-in. No matter which type of reservation you have chosen and whether or not you have fully paid your balance, you will be able to make your FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of your check-in date. You only need to make sure you link your theme park tickets to your My Disney Experience account and assign them to the appropriate Guests in your Family & Friends list. As an additional benefit, you will be able to complete FastPass+ selections for your whole Resort hotel stay, up to 10 days.

I hope this information helps you as you continue to plan your upcoming visit! Please let us know if you have any further questions. Have a magical day!
