Does my 4y/o and 12y/o need a passport for the cruise to the Bahamas. The way I read the instructions it states just a copy of their birth certificate with do?

    Ahoy Frances!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so glad you stopped by with your question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation!  Even though it may seem far off, it will be here before you know it!  If you have not done so yet, be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and set the Cruise Countdown clock on it and watch the days tick away!  And then, before you know it you will be heading off to a magical adventure at sea with Captain Mickey!

You are reading and understanding correctly; as long as you are on a sailing that departs and returns to a domestic port – which your Bahamian sailing does – Guests under the age of 16 do NOT require a passport for travel.  A copy of a state-issued birth certificate is sufficient documentation for children under 16, so you are covered for your planned itinerary!

I know you will have a wonderful vacation on this Disney Cruise Line vacation!  Your children are at perfect ages to really enjoy everything that there is for them to do onboard!  The Youth Clubs are fantastic as are all of the character experiences and scheduled activities!  You will all simply have an incredible time!  I am just so excited for you!

I know you are at the beginning stages of your planning, so please come back with any additional questions you may have as your planning continues!

    Happy Sailing!
