Do I need to make our old magic bands from last year inactive on the website before I can use our new ones?

Hello Deborah, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.

I am so happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in a few weeks. I am sure you are putting the finishing touches on a great trip. I am sure that you have already received your MagicBands for your upcoming trip. You are also well aware of all the great things this stylish, wearable piece of technology can do, like unlocking the door to your room, access to theme parks with your admission tickets, redeeming FastPass+ selections, charging food and merchandise back to your Resort Hotel Room and adding photos to your Memory Maker account.

I am pleased to tell you that are able to have multiple active MagicBands on your My Disney Experience account. In fact, I have over a dozen active MagicBands on my account with a few more on the way. The only time you would need to change the status of an active MagicBand is if it becomes lost or stolen. You are not limited to the complimentary MagicBands you receive as a guest of select Disney Resort Hotels either. You can purchase special and limited edition MagicBands from several locations at the Walt Disney World Resort or from the Shop Disney Parks website or Mobile App. You can very easily link these MagicBands to your My Disney Experience account in a few quick steps. Don’t forget, if you will be arriving by plane and using Disney’s Magical Express, you will need to pack your MagicBands in your carry-on luggage. You will need your MagicBand to check-in with a Cast Member at Disney’s Magical Express Welcome Center and to unlock the door to your Disney Resort Hotel room. You are going to have a wonderful trip.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
